The Day The Earth Stood Still

New York City, the city sky is covered in darkness and a giant metallic human-like alien appears. A doctor, Dr. Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly), is studying the phenomenon and has a close encounter with an alien in human form Klaatu (Keanu Reeves). Klaatu tells the doctor that the earth is going to be exterminated and all of mankind is going to perish. Now it is up to Dr. Benson to convince Klaatu and the other aliens that mankind can change for the better.
