The year is 2018 and the world has been taken over by the machines. It is up to John Conner (Christian Bale), head of the resistance, to stop the eradication of the whole human race by eradicating the Machines head quarters. As he and the rest of his soldiers plan on defeating the machines he encounters an odd stranger named Marcus Wright whose last memory was being on death row. Conner is not sure whether he was sent from the future or rescued from the past.
