Firstly, Beowulf is the epitome of CGI, the graphics are so unbelievably smooth and the movements are so crisp.
Beowulf is set in Denmark on 507 A.D. in the kingdom of King Hrothgar (Anthony Hopkins). In those times, the king and it's kingdom were having problems with a monster (Grendel) who constantly attacked the kingdom's "mead" hall, where celebrations are held. Desperate, King Hrothgar asked for the assistance of a man who can kill the monster, and this man was Beowulf. When Beowulf defeated the monster, he was promised by the king that he will be rewarded with an ancient relic that only kings possess. Although despite the monsters defeat, the killing did not stop. All fingers pointed at Grendels mother (Angelina Jolie), who used her beauty to capture the hearts of even the mightiest kings. After sometime, Beowulf was crowned king, but the ghosts of his past doings haunted him. He would have to again prove himself that he is still the mighty warrior, Beowulf.
