Funny People

George (Adam Sandler) is a successful comedian and actor with a shining career until he finds out that he has a rare, incurable blood disease. George then enters into a state of depression and reflects on the wrongs he has made. One night in a stand up comedy club, George and an amateur and struggling comedian Ira had a gig together. George notices Ira and hires him as is assistant/ friend, since George has so few that know him for who he really is, and has much regrets that he would want to make right.
