A group of silly Vermont state troopers are in danger of losing their jobs due to some budget cuts. In their situation they try to lessen their antics and prove that they are a valuable asset to law enforcement. They are also challenged by Chief Grady's municipal Spurbury PD, a rival squad.
One day, the Vermont state troopers discover a dead body with a big stash of weed and the guys think that if they can crack the case and link it to a drug ring, maybe they could redeem themselves and save their jobs.
