Blood Diamond

People say that a diamond is a girls best friend bt once you watch this movie, it will definitely change your take on diamonds. Blood Diamond is a story about conflict diamonds in Africa. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio (Danny Archer), Jennifer Connelly (Maddy Bowen), Djimon Hounsou (Solomon Vandy).

Blood Diamond shows the harsh realities of how diamonds are acquired, which is through exploitation of the African people and the illegal trade of firearms. The movie shows the story of the 3 main characters. Danny Archer, an international diamond smuggler, Maddy Bowen, a journalist writing about conflict diamonds and Solomon Vandy, an African local whose son has been taken by the local rebel group RUF. Together they go on an adventure to save Solomon's son, write a story about the condition in Africa and find the biggest diamond they have ever seen.
